Lab Equipment

Introduction

Laboratory equipment refers to the various tools and equipment used by scientists working in a laboratory. These include tools such as Bunsen burners, and microscopes as well as special equipment such as operant conditioning chambers, spectrophotometers and calorimeters. Another important type of laboratory equipment is laboratory glassware such as the beaker or reagent bottle.
Laboratory equipment is generally used to either perform an experiment or to take measurements and gather data. Larger or more sophisticated equipment is generally called a scientific instrument.

Task

Next year you will receive medical students that will be working with you. They need to know the laboratory equipment they may use one day, they need to know their characteristics and use/function.

Write the descriptions of the different tools that are part of the lab. These descriptions are going to be part of a manual the medical students will receive once they visit the hospital.
