Introduction
You are a medical student at the University of Washington. Your medical internship will take place at Washington Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Phillip Miller, the Chief of Staff
A team of medical students will research one of nine systems of the
human body. These systems include: Circulatory, Digestive, Endocrine, Muscular,
Nervous, Reproductive, Respiratory, Skeletal, and Urinary.
Teams will be chosen by Dr. Miller, using a random selection process in
which medical students draw one of the nine systems out of a container.
Students who draw the same system will work together to research the system
they have drawn. At least three, but not more than four, medical students will
make up each team.
Each team will be expected to present their findings to their superiors
and their colleagues at the Washington Medical Symposium.
Below are some sites that will help you accomplish your tasks. Many have links to additional sites. Stay focused on your tasks, however, and know what you are looking for, or you can waste a lot of valuable time.

Students can click on Interactive Anatomy, choose one of several different anatomy systems, and roll a mouse over the system to learn the names and functions of various organs - § Vocabulary and Phrases for Making Presentations in English http://www.english-at-home.com/business/vocabulary-and-phrases-for-making-presentations/
Process
Information that is needed includes the following:
- Which organs make up the system
- Explanation as to how the system functions
- Diagrams and/or illustrations of the system
- Disorders associated with the system
At the Washington Medical Symposium Dr. Miller suggests using charts, a
lecture, overheads, or HyperStudio for the presentation.

Upon completion of this project you will have learned to use a variety
of media and have also learned about different diseases/disorders common to the
body systems.
